Saving Animals & Finding Homes
Who We Are
Thank you for visiting our site! Walking Home Together is a 501(c)3 state licensed animal rescue, located in Conyers, Georgia. We are a grassroots organization that recuses dogs and cats, and specializes in bottle-fed orphaned puppies and rescuing disabled/injured animals. Often this means rescuing abused and neglected animals. We work diligently to bring our rescues back to health and get them adopted into their forever homes. We pride ourselves on finding the best fit for our animals and for our potential adoptive families. Our goal is to reduce the number of stray and neglected animals through rescue and bringing the rescues back to health. Once the rescues are healthy and have been spayed/neutered, they receive all vaccinations and are microchipped. All money we receive through donations and adoption fees is applied directly to the care and medical needs of the animals.Adoption Ready
Why is there an adpotion fee?
Our adoption fee is $200 no matter what the breed of dog or how much we have had to spend on getting them adoption ready. The adoption fee includes their spay/neuter surgery, micro chipping, age appropriate vaccinations to include rabies, deworming, flea prevention, and heart worm prevention if applicable for age.

Save a Life
Why Adopt?
- You’re saving more than one life. Sure, you are saving the life of the animal, but you are also making space for another animal in need and helping to give them the opportunity to become beloved pets.
- What could be better than unconditional love? Rescued dogs have so much love to give and they won’t stop giving it to you once they are in their new home.
- The animals at Walking Home Together have already been given a second chance at life. So when you adopt, you’ll be giving them a third chance at life.
- When you adopt a pet, you increase your own activity level by exercising your pet, and you will increase your social interactions.
- With your new adopted pet, life will never be boring again and you have a new BFF.
Lucy's Story
We adopted our Lucy on July 3rd 2017 from WHT. Our experience with Lori was amazing. We only had to visit one time to know that Lori and her team were the most amazing people. I am so happy that we got to meet the WHT team. And I still follow them everyday on FB.
