· Your age & the age of the pet
· Personality of the pet
· Your life goals
· Existing pets in the home

· Life expectancy (yours and the pet’s)
· Readiness to take on the responsibility of pet ownership
· Temperament of the pet
· Are you willing and prepared to adopt a pet with disabilities/special needs?
· Are you willing and prepared to adopt a senior pet?

How Long Does the Process Take?
The adoption process includes submitting an adoption application to Walking Home Together. Once you have been approved, you are free to come visit with our available pets. All visits are by appointment only. So it doesn’t take long to complete the process.
